About

MINYAAN FOUNDATION is a government registered non-profit charity foundation
established for the upliftment of widow’s, nurturing their children and also empowering other backward communities. Founded in 2015 in Bangalore Karnataka, India, Minyaan’s strength is its core potential and trustworthy team. The journey began when one fine morning a group of ladies realized that they were being displaced from their job and approached us. We conceptualized a social media platform for engaging in business from home and created a group called ‘Naari Power’. This innovative concept helped them to manage their livelihood. Later the group was renamed as ‘Minyaan Naari Power’. In 2017, the group featured and was recognised by Zee news on their Women Entrepreneurs section. The journey was on!

Vision

Provide opportunity for upliftment and empowerment of widow’s by assisting in
employability and re-establishment of her children.

Mission

We support widows in the healing process and allow them to rebuild and transform their lives encouraging them to re-engage in life.

Approach

Empowering widows to be independent

We launched Minyaan to provide economic independence to deprived widow’s, enable her to upbring her children and support sustainability. Our efforts are focused to fight against the perception and vulnerability of widows in our society. We want to ensure a life of dignity for all the widows, help her to deal with stress and financial
crisis.

Educating children of widows

We focus to create a platform to drive change and enhance learning, unlock their potentiality and make them independent. Minyaan will collaborate with other partners to impart online classes for the deserving.

Extend their health benefits

Minyaan aims at facilitating medical and insurance benefits as per the requirement.
We will collaborate for the existing schemes from the government and other reliable
source.
